Attorney Timothy Brignole heads up the Litigation Department, with over 27 years experience all across the State of Connecticutin all Superior Courts, Federal District Courts and the Connecticut Supreme Court. Mr. Brignole is a nationally certified trial lawyer. The National Board of Trial Advocacy has certified Mr. Brignole as one of approximately 2,460 trial lawyers in the nation who are nationally certified as trial specialists in civil litigation. Mr. Brignole has completed many complex trials to jury verdict and most recently won a $2,200,000 verdict against CL&P in a truck versus car accident in New Britain Superior Court where his client had a fractured right ankle. Timothy Brignole believes in elevating the professionalism of trial lawyers while representing people's rights.
Attorney David W. Bush has been practicing law with the law firm of Brignole Bush & Lewis, LLC for 18 years and is a civil litigation attorney. Mr. Bush has concentrated on the practice of automobile personal injury, medical and dental malpractice and criminal defense. Mr. Bush has tried many cases to verdict on both medical malpractice and personal injury litigation and is extremely proficient in defending drunken driving charges.
Attorney John C. Lewis III has been with the law firm of Brignole Bush & Lewis, LLC for 16 years. Mr. Lewis has handled from beginning to end a wide variety of civil litigation with a concentration on personal injury cases arising from automobile accidents and work-related injuries. Mr. Lewis has also handled numerous commercial and residential real estate transactions as well as family law matters involving dissolution of marriage, child custody, child support and the rights of family members to visit with children. Mr. Lewis has tried motor vehicle accident cases to jury verdict and brought Workers’ Compensation injury cases to conclusion through formal hearings before the Workers’ Compensation Commission. Mr. Lewis has represented the interest of injured clients before the trial courts throughout Connecticut, the various districts of the Connecticut Appellate Court, the Connecticut Supreme Court and the United States District Court in Connecticut. Attorney Juri Taalman joined the law firm of Brignole Bush & Lewis, LLC eight years ago, after 10 years on international experience which included serving as the American Bar Association Liaison to the Republic of Estonia and Special Advisor to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Estonia. Mr. Taalman has extensive experience in all areas of civil litigation, and is currently involved in all phases of litigation, including complex litigation and appellate practice at the firm. He has argued cases before the Appellate Court and the Supreme Court of Connecticut and has ten appeals to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals as well as to the Supreme Court of the United States.
Attorney J. Xavier Pryor joined the law firm of Brignole Bush & Lewis, LLC in 2002. Since joining the firm, he has successfully tried cases to jury verdict, and has also represented clients in Department of Children and Family matters. Mr. Pryor successfully argued before the Supreme Court of the State of Connecticut, thereby expanding the ability of Connecticut residents to collect from the Connecticut Insurance Guarantee Fund for damages sustained.
Attorney Bozena Wysocki has been with the firm since 2005.
She is admitted to practice law in Connecticut and Massachusetts. A native of Poland, she came to the United States in 1999. She attended Western New England College School of Law where she served for two years on the Western New England Law Review as a staff member and then as a production editor. Mrs. Wysocki graduated in 2005 Magna Cum Laude ranking 3rd in her class of 166. Mrs. Wysocki's areas of practice include: real estate transactions both commercial and residential, wills, collections, formation of limited liability companies, mechanic's liens, as well as personal injury cases. She has worked with Attorney Tim Brignole on several complicated cases in litigation including land disputes, commercial real estate transactions, legal malpractice cases, and personal injury cases.
Attorney Richard W. Mather joined the firm of Brignole, Bush & Lewis, LLC, in 2010. He studied law at Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where he served as a managing editor on the Indiana Journal of Global League Studies, board member of the International Law Society, and member of the school's trial competition leauge.
